Big Blue Madness: Everything to know

One of the best traditions in college basketball is set to take place Friday evening, as the Kentucky Wildcats will host their annual Big Blue Madness event at Rupp Arena.

It will be the first time for the Big Blue Nation to get to see both the 2019-20 women and men’s basketball teams on the big stage, as they will participate in roaring introductions in front of a packed Rupp Arena house, skills competitions, a brief team scrimmage to give fans a sneak peek at both squads.

Fans will also get a chance to see women’s head coach Matthew Mitchell’s annual dance, then hear from men’s coach John Calipari as he’ll deliver his yearly Big Blue Madness speech.

The madness is scheduled to tip-off at 7 p.m. on October 11th on SEC Network. For fans attending, there will be an opportunity to watch both teams walk the Blue Carpet into the arena from bleachers set up along the sides.
