The interest between Kentucky and JT Thor continues to grow.
On Monday, Thor made his way to Lexington for an unofficial visit with the Wildcats, according to Rivals recruiting analyst Corey Evans.
Thor is a 6’8, 190-pound power forward out of Huntington Prep in Huntington, West Virginia. The 2021 recruit is ranked No. 10 overall and the No. 1 player from West Virginia in the 247 Sports rankings.
Only a sophomore, Thor already has offers from the Florida Gators, Arizona State Sun Devils, California Golden Bears, UConn Huskies, and Ole Miss Rebels.
Thor unofficially visited Kentucky this past fall for Big Blue Madness. Kentucky’s staff returned the favor by visiting Thor in early December.
Today’s visit would make the third reported time Thor and Kentucky have crossed paths since October. That’s a good sign that there’s significant interest between both sides, perhaps enough that a scholarship offer is on the horizon, though it’s very rare for John Calipari to offer a recruit that’s two classes away.
