Garrett Johnson Jason Marcum - Sea of Blue

One of the most successful wide receivers in the history of Kentucky Football has taken the next step in his professional career.

Garett “Juice” Johnson announced on Twitter Sunday that he has agreed to terms with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL.

Johnson played four years at Kentucky racking in 2,095 receiving yards, 156 receptions, and 11 touchdown catches. He finished fourth in school history in receiving yards and fifth in receptions.

After his 2017 senior season, Johnson signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent. He spent the entire 2018 NFL Preseason with the Bears but did not make the team’s final roster. He never was picked up by another NFL squad.

Now, Johnson has his chance. He joins Micah Johnson, Chris Matthews, Boom Williams, DeQuin Evans, Cory Johnson, and Jordan Swindle as Kentucky Wildcats playing in the NFL.

In the CFL Johnson finally has his chance to prove he is NFL worthy.
