Saturday was a special day in Lexington, and it began when College GameDay was live from Rupp arena.
It was a decent sized crowd that showed up, but the GameDay show itself left a lot to be desired.
And yes, J-Will picked Kansas to win while running on a horse onto the court.
Here’s what social media had to say about GameDay:

The Kentucky Wildcats finally snap their three game losing streak to the Kansas Jayhawks, pulling out at a 71-63 victory at Rupp. To make things better, the Wildcats just beat the No. 14, No. 22, and No. 9 teams in a row. The Wildcats have established themselves as a Final Four contender that still has plenty of room to grow before the Big Dance begins.
PJ Washington and Reid Travis took advantage of no Udoka Azubuike or Silvio De Sousa for Kansas as they combined for 38 points and 25 rebounds. Reid Travis dominated the first half of the game, even getting three and-1 baskets.
PJ dominated the second half, sealing the game with some late free throws. He’s become the complete player he needed to become to not only take his game to the next level, but also become a potential lottery pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Kentucky is trending upward in a big way. They’ve gone from afterthought to a legit contender in a matter of just one week. Now on to Vanderbilt.

I tell you after losing to Seton Hall in overtime that Kentucky would go on to beat the #14, #22 and #9 teams in the country...in a row. You look at me like a spaceship had just landed in the backyard.

Kentucky completes the stretch of Auburn, Mississippi State, and Kansas undefeated. We learned a lot about this team during this stretch but I think we now know this team can get to the Final Four.
— Shawn Smith (@gbbcountry) January 27, 2019
If someone told you on opening night that Kentucky would go on to beat North Carolina, Kansas, Auburn and Louisville - three of those away from home - before February, be honest, would you have believed it?
— Kyle Tucker (@KyleTucker_ATH) January 27, 2019
Last time UK had three players get a double double in the same game was Cousins, Wall and Patterson in 2010.

Eight days ago, the college basketball world had questions about Kentucky. After wins at Auburn, and against Miss State and Kansas, they're the hottest team in the country. Lesson learned yet again: Bet against John Calipari if you want. But it WILL turn out looking bad for you
