It seems like former Kentucky big man Enes Kanter may want out of New York.
Reports state that Kanter is not happy about recently not playing in the Knicks’ game against the Rockets, earning a Did Not Play - Coaches Decision and has not seen the floor in four of New York’s last five games.
Kanter has had a productive year with the Knicks, averaging 14 points and 11 rebounds per game, but Kanter continues to struggle on the defensive end of the floor, and those struggles may ultimately be what causes he and the team to part ways.
Kanter has been a big story this year with his being targeted by the Turkish president, but this is just another instance of Kanter being involved in the news. If the Knicks do in fact decide to trade him, it will be interesting to see who places offers or shows interest in dealing for the former Wildcat.
Hopefully Kanter can find a fit in the NBA where he can get regular playing time.
