The Kentucky Wildcats hit the road for a matchup against a top 15 Auburn squad tonight in search of a significant NCAA Tournament resume-building victory.
The host Tigers average 84.5 points per game (18th nationally) and while the Tigers take quite a few three-pointers (30th most nationally), they rank tied for 103rd in the country in percentage.
But we’ve seen how teams have shot the ball against the Wildcats this year, so Kentucky can’t let the Tigers get good looks from the perimeter.
A win would be huge for Kentucky as they would pick up a Quadrant 1 win for NCAA Tournament purposes, but a win on the road against a really good Auburn team in a tough road environment would be a huge momentum boost for the Wildcats.
Kentucky will need Keldon Johnson, Reid Travis, and PJ Washington to return to form if they want to take down the Tigers, and hopefully see Ashton Hagans continue his streak of impressive performances as well.
The game tips off at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN.
