UPDATE
With 2:22 left, Hagans returned to the game with Kentucky up nine points. That kid is a gamer.
The Kentucky Wildcats are holding their breath after watching Ashton Hagans go down with an injury.
It happened late in their matchup with the Vanderbilt Commodores, as Hagans drove to the rack for a layup but came down awkwardly and began favoring his back. He had to be helped off the court with trainers.
This is the last thing Kentucky can afford to have right now, so hopefully, this is nothing serious. Prior to his exit, Hagans helped lead a defensive effort that held Vanderbilt to just 13 second-half points going into the 3:12 mark.
We will update this post if any more details come out.
