The Kentucky Wildcats has officially confirmed game times and TV channels for two big upcoming games.

The first one is against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. It is now scheduled for Tuesday, January 22nd at 7:00 PM EST. The game will be aired on ESPN.

Mississippi State has a very solid team this year, and for the moment are ranked above Kentucky, so this home game will be a big test for the Wildcats.

The next one is a very big one — the Tennessee Volunteers. This game will be televised on ESPN and is set for an 8 PM EST. tip on Saturday, February 16th. Tennessee has been very dominant this season, including their first two SEC wins being by a combined 70 points. So, there’s no surprise that ESPN has set up a primetime slot for this match-up.

It has been mentioned before, but is worth mentioning again — the SEC is a very good basketball conference. There is a lot of talent on so many of the teams, and Kentucky cannot take any opponent lightly.

Kentucky will play both of these teams twice, and if the Wildcats want to earn a high seed in the NCAA Tournament, they need to hold serve at home in both matchups.

It’s early, but according to ESPN’s matchup predictor, Kentucky has a 71.5% chance of beating the Bulldogs but only 45.9% to beat the Vols. Thankfully, we’ve still a got a full month until the Vols come to Rupp Arena, so a lot can change between now and then.

And of course, here is a look back at the last time Kentucky played these two teams:
