One of the Kentucky Football team’s best personalities is now a multi-sport athlete.
Starting middle linebacker Kash Daniel has joined Kentucky’s Bass Fishing team. He made the announcement on Twitter.
Excited to be apart of the @UKBassFishing team for this upcoming season. Looking forward to being able to fish some good tournaments this year!

The Paintsville, KY native has made his love for the outdoors publically known on social media and in interviews for quite some time.
Before traveling to Orlando for the Citrus Bowl, he was asked multiple times if he’d get the chance to go fishing.
The linebacker did just that.

Bass Fishing is a club sport at the University of Kentucky. The team competes in fishing tournaments throughout the southern US.
For Daniel, this will be more of a for fun activity and chance to put his fishing talents on display in a competitive atmosphere.
There’s little doubt that Daniel, who always gives his 100% on the football field, will be completely locked in and focused on football while competing with the bass fishing team. The soon-to-be senior has the potential to be an All-SEC linebacker next season and possibly an NFL Draft pick in 2020.
