@CitrusBowl

It’s finally here!

After a great season from the Kentucky Football team they now face one of their toughest challenges of the season, as they take on a talented Penn State team in the Citrus Bowl.

Penn State started their rebuild in 2014 and have come a long way from where they were post-Sandusky trials. James Franklin has done a wonderful job, but he hasn’t quite hit that ceiling yet. Kentucky came close to doing so this year, but the setbacks at Texas A&M and Tennessee prevented the Cats from making a New Year’s Six bowl.

I find this game very interesting for that reason. Both programs have had to fight there way to relevancy and both have done a tremendous job but neither are there yet. This matchup will be a test to see which program is closer to becoming a legitimate contender in College Football.

Beyond that, the matchup in general is very exciting. Penn State is ranked 36th in total defense ,while Kentucky’s is ranked 21st. Benny Snell Jr. has had an amazing season, while Penn State has two great running backs in Miles Sanders and Trace Mcsorley. Plus, both teams are 9-3 with great wins on their resume.

This one should be full of energized moments and awesome plays. But there still has to be a winner. Who do you think takes home the Citrus Bowl trophy?
