Jefferson is out due to suspension and Reese due to injury. These are two of Florida’s best defenders, combining for 35 run stops at or behind the line of scrimmage last year.
That’s huge against Kentucky with an offense that boasts both Benny Snell and AJ Rose in the run game. Not to mention in a Todd Grantham defense that loves to blitz and lives on tackles for loss and sacks.
However, suspended WR Kadarius Toney, DL Kyree Campbell, DL Luke Ancrum, DB Brian Edwards, RB Adarius Lemons, and walk-on James Washington, who all missed last week, are expected to return tonight.
Let’s hope this allows Kentucky to run wild tonight. Go Cats!
