The Kentucky Wildcats continue to climb up the college football hierarchy.
After opening the season unranked and projected to win anywhere between 5-7 games, the Cats are now 5-0 and riding as high as ever under Mark Stoops. They also continue to climb up the college football top 25 polls.
After jumping to the No. 17 spot last week, the Cats handled South Carolina on Saturday, so they’ve made another move up the rankings. The latest USA Today Coaches Poll has Kentucky at No. 15.
The only downside of the new poll is now Florida and Mississippi State are unranked, so Kentucky doesn’t technically have a top-25 win, but both of those teams are still really solid and are special wins for this program.

Over at CBS Sports, Kentucky checked in at No. 10 in Chip Patterson’s latest top 25 ranking:
10. Kentucky (17): When it comes to discussion of the Heisman Trophy picture, is Benny Snell being included? He should be because no one else has been more valuable to his team as an individual than Snell, carrying so much of the playmaking responsibility on offense for this 5-0 Wildcats team.
This has been nothing short of one of Kentucky’s all-time best starts in program history.
