The Kentucky Wildcats have released the Week 2 depth chart for their clash with the Florida Gators.
The big question coming into today was if Terry Wilson would still be listed as the starter, or if it would be an ‘OR’ designation with Gunnar Hoak. Both quarterbacks played and led touchdown drives in Week 1, though Wilson committed three turnovers that were converted into 13 points for Central Michigan.
Even so, head coach Mark Stoops is sticking with Wilson, but he is proud of what Hoak did in his brief appearance.
”Both did some really good things and some things you’d expect for first time playing,” Stoops said Monday. “Gunnar’s drive sparked us, and good to get Terry back in and playing well.”
It also should be noted that Hoak had a bad pass that could have been a pick-six that was dropped by a CMU defender, so it wasn’t like he played completely mistake-free compared to Hoak.
Regardless, the mistakes have to be cut down on for Kentucky to have any shot at winning at Florida.
“Interceptions are gonna happen, fumbles are what we have to avoid.” Stoops on the turnover issues vs Central Michigan.

Elsewhere, there is still an ‘OR’ listed between AJ Rose and Sihiem King for the No. 2 running back spot. Rose had a breakout game Saturday and looks like the second-best back behind Benny Snell, though King is a productive senior who deserves to keep getting touches.
For the most part, the depth chart is the same as Week 1, which is probably how it should be.
