Kentucky gets official visit date with Keion Brooks

The five-star recruit is visiting Kentucky in October.

The Kentucky Wildcats will be getting an official visit from Keion Brooks.

The five-star forward is slated to visit Lexington on the weekend of Oct. 20, according to 247 Sports. He is set to visit the Indiana Hoosiers this weekend, as they’re the perceived favorite in this recruitment, but Kentucky has a great chance to change that when he officially visits later in October.

Hailing from La Porte (IN), Brooks nows play high school ball at The La Lumiere School, along with fellow Kentucky target Isaiah Stewart, who is visiting Lexington this weekend. Kentucky has been getting a lot of buzz with Stewart as of late, which you would think helps the Wildcats’ odds of getting Brooks.

Brooks also holds offers from the UCLA Bruins, Michigan State Spartans and North Carolina Tar Heels among others. His highest recruiting ranking is 12th overall by 247 Sports. He’s also the fourth-ranked small forward, and Kentucky already has a pledge from second-ranked small forward Kahlil Whitney. They’re also in the final two for third-ranked small forward Scottie Lewis.

Needless to say, this could be a situation where Kentucky is only able to land one of Lewis and Brooks, if even that. As of now, Kentucky is getting more buzz for Lewis, who could decide any day now.
