The Kentucky Wildcats have a new target in the Class of 2020.
On Tuesday, five-star recruit Jalen Johnson announced a scholarship offer from Kentucky.

This comes after John Calipari and assistant coach Kenny Payne met with Johnson on Tuesday.
A five-star small forward from Sun Prairie (WI), Johnson has been drawing interest from Kentucky, so it’s not a surprise to see them offer the top-10 recruit in the Class of 2020.
“That is a great school. It is run by a great coaching staff and Coach Cal has developed his players,” Johnson said of Kentucky in June via Rivals. “I know they’re known for going one-and-done but he still develops his players to be the best that they can be, which is what I have the utmost respect for, in that aspect of it.”
The 6-8, 215-pound Johnson is ranked fifth overall by 247 Sports Composite in addition to being the second-best small forward. His highest ranking is fourth overall by ESPN. He holds offers from the Duke Blue Devils, North Carolina Tar Heels, Arizona Wildcats and Wisconsin Badgers among others.
Thus far, Duke and Wisconsin have been receiving crystal ball picks, but that was prior to the Kentucky off.
This is just the third scholarship offer for a 2020 recruit, as Johnson joins five-star center N’Faly Dante and five-star small forward Scottie Barnes in getting one. Kentucky doesn’t usually offer many, if any scholarships this far out, so you know they really must love the potential of Johnson.
