The Kentucky Wildcats football team ran over the #14 ranked Mississippi St. Bulldogs, 28-7. The Cats were heavily favored to lose this game, and even if you were expecting them to win, no one saw a blowout coming.
Josh Allen was absolutely unstoppable coming around the outside, and terrorized Nick Fitzgerald all night. One ESPN analyst even ranked him the #1 OLB in the country.
Benny Snell Jr. showed us again that he is the best back in the SEC, and pushed for his Heisman chances once again. He had 165 yards and 4 touchdowns on the night which pushed him passed Randall Cobb for the most TDs in Kentucky Football history.
Of course, we can’t forget Kash Daniel who, on the national stage, put Kentucky football on the map from the middle linebacker position.
This is a dream come true for Kentucky fans. After ending the streak last week against Florida many were watching this game to see if it was just a fluke. The team answered being doubted again by dominating one of the top teams in the nation.
Beating Mississippi St. now puts them at 4-0 on the season (2-0 in the SEC), and that is a resume worth a top 25 ranking. The sky's the limit for this team, and they showed the entire nation last night.
Last night, Twitter went crazy with players, media members, former players and fans alike reacting to the win. This is a win we as fans are going to want to look back on and remember for a very long time.
Here’s a look at some of the best ones, though feel free to include any good ones we missed in the comments section:
