Random Rants of BBN: Vol III

Terry Wilson and the Cats have brought the good times back to the Bluegrass.

Kentucky Football has made another step forward. Stoops and crew have made very steady progress since taking over in 2013, from being bottom feeders of the SEC to being a potential SEC East champion contender. Through the first quarter of the 2018 season, the Wildcats are a perfect 3-0, and we couldn’t be any more proud, especially since one of those victories happened against Florida, who many of us have never seen lose to Kentucky in our entire life. Vegas set the over-under for Kentucky at 5.5 wins, and the Wildcats are set to surpass that by a good margin.

Rant No. 2

Benny Snell already has a piece of our hearts, and Terry “Touchdown” Wilson is up next to steal a spot right next to him. After a rough first game against Central Michigan, Wilson helped lead the Wildcats to their first win over the Gators since 1986 and the first win in Gainesville since 1979. This week, #14 Mississippi State comes in town and hopefully leaving with their first loss.

Rant No. 3

Coach Cal already has two players in the top 10 coming to Kentucky next year in Tyrese Maxey and Kahlil Whitney and has decided he wants all of the top 10 guys. This past week, Cal and staff reconnected with #4 overall recruit Isaiah Stewart and #5 overall recruit Jaden McDaniels, two players that we didn’t hear much Kentucky buzz for this summer, if any at all. Cal is going to need a big class again this year with anywhere from 3-6 players leaving. Personally, I’m projecting 6 player departures next spring, so a class of at least 6 will be needed.
