Thursday Quickies: Serving Others Edition

The Kentucky men’s basketball team spent yesterday packing lunches for elementary students

One of the things John Calipari teaches his teams at Kentucky is servant leadership, and that was on display yesterday as members of the basketball team volunteered with UK Athletics God’s Pantry Program to provide free lunches to elementary school students.

It is always refreshing to see players giving back in ways like this, and there are many other acts that athletes take part in where a camera doesn’t catch it. Luckily, a camera did catch this and it’s really awesome to see the players being involved.
