Isaiah Briscoe may be helping UK with Kahlil Whitney during visit

Briscoe went to the same high school as Whitney, and they’re both in Lexington.

Jersey Sports Zone and Sea of Blue

Kahlil Whitney is regarded as one of the best small forwards in the 2019 class, He’s 6-7, 200 pounds, and is a versatile threat on offense that can hurt you in a multitude of ways.

Getting Whitney would be huge, especially with the recent news of DJ Jeffries decommitment. Kahlil is currently on a weekend visit with the Cats that lasts until Sunday.

From the looks of it, there’s an old Cat back in town to help recruit Whitney, as Orlando Magic guard Isaiah Briscoe was seen in a photo taken by UK with Ellen and John Calipari:

The key here is the fact that Briscoe went to the same high school that Kahlil currently attends in Roselle Catholic in New Jersey. This more than likely means that Kahlil has looked up to Isaiah for a few years, which clearly boasts well for the Cats.

To have a guy that’s been through the system and is currently on an NBA roster try to convince you to go to Kentucky is powerful, especially when said guy grew up in the same area you did.

Calipari continues to pull out all the tricks for recruiting, and it seems to be working. Right now, 247’s Crystal Ball has Kentucky at a 93% favorite to land the forward from New Jersey. Some of the other schools that are on Whitney’s list include Georgetown, Louisville, Florida State, and Illinois.

Don’t be surprised if Kahlil commits after his visit ends, the Cats are highly favored and with Whitney being in Lexington until Sunday, it may just be the extra push he needs to make the commitment.
