Central Michigan players and coaches had media availability today, previewing their matchup with Kentucky on Saturday, and it seems like a couple of the players and coaches may have given Kentucky some bulletin board material to work with for Saturday.
Starting with CMU RB Jonathan Ward, the Chippewas’ leading rusher. Here is what he had to say about Kentucky’s defense and Benny Snell, per Central Michigan Life’s Evan Petzold.
Central Michigan RB Jonathan Ward on Kentucky's defense: "They are a pretty aggressive defense and all fly to the ball. I'm not seeing anything really special. We just have to come out and play to the best of our abilities."

Central Michigan RB Jonathan Ward on Kentucky RB Benny Snell: "I don’t know him. I don't think there’s anything too special."

It’s hard to imagine Benny Snell not seeing this and using it as fuel for Saturday’s game. Snell already has a large chip on his shoulder, so I doubt he needed much more motivation going into the game, but this certainly doesn’t help.
Jordan Jones, Mike Edwards, Kash Daniel, Josh Allen, and the rest of the Wildcats defense probably have those statements pinned up in the locker room somewhere as well. Those guys will be amped up for Saturday.
It didn’t stop there though. CMU’s Defensive Coordinator said he likes his defensive line’s chances against Kentucky’s offensive line. The Wildcats will be breaking in a new left tackle, likely either E.J. Price or Naasir Watkins, but the rest of the line remains the same from a year ago where they really came together midway through the season.
Central Michigan defensive coordinator Greg Colby on what he's looking forward to about playing Kentucky: "I like our chances with our defensive line against their offensive line. We have to finish tackles."

I doubt Kentucky needed any extra motivation to get pumped up for the opening game, but if they did, it looks like the Chippewas may have given it today.
