Game week is here for the Kentucky Wildcats, and with it comes the first official depth chart of the 2018 season.
Coming into Monday, the biggest question was at quarterback, where Gunnar Hoak and Terry Wilson were vying for the starting gig. Wilson won the job and is now listed as QB1.
Another big question for the first depth chart was at left tackle, where Landon Young was lost for the season due to a knee injury last week. Nassir Watkins, EJ Price and Darian Kinnard were all possibilities to take the spot.
For now it’s Watkins OR Price on the depth chart, but Kinnard will also play tackle and be an option going forward.
For the most part, the rest of the depth chart is what was expected for this season. Miles Butler has won the kicker battle, but Chance Poore will get a chance to compete for the spot and will even travel with the team during road games. Max Duffy won the punting battle.
In addition to the depth chart, Stoops added that the following true freshmen may see some time this week:
- WR Akeem Hayes
- TE Keaton Upshaw
- TE Brendan Bates
- WR Allen Dailey
- LB Chris Oates
- LB DeAndre Square
- K Chance Poore
- OL Darian Kinnard
- DT Marquan McCall
