Five-star big man Jaemyn Brakefield is joining the ranks of other elite recruits who have blogged about their recruitment, as he’s posted on USA Today about his current situation.
In his blog, Brakefield said he’s being contacted by Kentucky, among others.
“Pitt and Wisconsin are the latest two schools to hit me up,” Brakefield writes. “Duke, Kansas, UCLA and Kentucky followed me all summer; they were at pretty much every game.”
Brakefielda, a power forward from Huntington, West Virginia, also wrote about his experience at the Curry Camp.
“I got a chance to workout with Steph directly and I learned a lot,” he wrote. “He would show me where to hang the ball when I’m dribbling and how to get lower. Just all the little tricks that can make a big difference.”
The 6-8 Brakefield is the No. 18 player in the class of 2020 on the 247 Sports Composite ratings. He currently has 23 offers, and despite the fact that Kentucky hasn’t offered yet, the Wildcats are the favorite in his crystal ball.
It was previously revealed that Brakefield plans to visit Kentucky for Big Blue Madness. Perhaps it could be then when he scores that scholarship offer.
