The biggest question mark heading into the 2018 football season for the Kentucky Wildcats is the starting quarterback position.
Both Gunnar Hoak and Terry Wilson have shown solid glimpses during practice, but so far, neither has really been able to separate from the competition.
The competition has gone on through the spring and fall camp, but Kentucky Head Coach Mark Stoops indicated after a scrimmage Saturday that a decision on who will start in the opening game against Central Michigan.
A decision could likely come as early as Monday, Aug. 23 based on Stoops’ comments.
Whoever the starter is, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise to see both of them play in the opening game since neither have any game experience at Kentucky.
Ideally though, one player would win out during the next practices and scrimmages leading up to the opening game.
