NCAA Football: Cotton Bowl-Ohio State vs Southern California Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Urban Meyer’s successful run at Ohio State may be coming to an end, as the Buckeyes head coach has been placed on administrative leave due to accusations against a former assistant coach that Meyer allegedly knew about.

According to Courtney Smith, the ex-wife of former Ohio State assistant Zach Smith, Meyer knew about a 2015 allegation of domestic violence against Zach Smith.

Courtney Smith also said that Meyer’s wife, Shelley Meyer, knew about the accusation, and there was an attempted cover up involving a confidant of Meyer.

This was all shared with former ESPN reporter Brett McMurphy, who posted the story to Facebook. A version was also posted to ESPN’s website, linked below.

Meyer is 73-8 as the Ohio State head coach. He’s won a Cotton Bowl, a Fiesta Bowl, a Sugar Bowl and a National Championship. But as far as his future with Ohio State goes, that will all mean almost nothing if these allegations prove true.
