Kentucky vs Mega Bemax Game Thread

The Cats face another challenge tonight against a Serbian professional team.

Nick Richards Sea of Blue

After a night off, the Kentucky Wildcats are back in action again tonight at 7 p.m. taking on Mega Bemax, who is coming off of an 85-82 loss to San Lorenzo, the team that Kentucky defeated Thursday night.

The Cats will once again be without EJ Montgomery and Jemarl Baker, who are out for the rest of the trip. Tony Barbee will also coach the team tonight:

Mega Bemax is led by 6’5 shooting guard Kostja Mushidi and 6’11 forward/center Goga Bitadze, both of whom are NBA prospects.

Unlike San Lorenzo, Mega Bemax has a lot of younger players on their team, many of whom will be close to the age of several of the Wildcats players. However, Bitazde and Mushidi will both present unique challenges to the young Wildcats, unlike anything they’ve seen yet in the Bahamas.

This team should pose a threat to the Wildcats, who will be playing their third game in four days but had a day off from playing yesterday. Nonetheless, it should be an exciting game to watch on a Saturday night in August.
