I don’t want to overreact to the Summer League, but that’s exactly what I’m about to do.
Kevin Knox is an athletic monster and the New York Knicks made the perfect pick.
The former Kentucky wing is proving that he’s a capable four-man at the NBA level this Summer League, as he’s put up 22/8/2 and 19/5/2 over the last couple nights for the New York Knicks’ summer team.
And it’s not just the numbers that he’s putting up, it’s the highlight reel plays he’s giving us.

His latest dunk might be his best.

And he’s certainly taking advantage of the leniency on rim hangs in the NBA.
Like I said, I don’t want to overreact to the Summer League (that’s how you end up on Freezing Cold Takes). But in this first opportunity, Knox is showing that the Knicks made the right choice by taking him. And Knicks fans appear to have changed their views on Knox after their boos reined down at the NBA Draft.
