Friday Quickies: Who’s Next Edition

A look at who could be the next 2019 Kentucky commit.

NCAA Basketball: Missouri at Kentucky Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

John Calipari has been hard at work on his 2019 class this summer. He’s got two commits secured in five-star guard Tyrese Maxey and four-star small forward DJ Jeffries, and his third commit likely isn’t far away.

Calipari has extended eight other offers: Bryan Antoine, Scottie Lewis, Keion Brooks, Kahlil Whitney, Vernon Carey, Matthew Hurt, James Wiseman and Jalen Lecque.

All signs seem to point toward Whitney, a five-star small forward, being the next commit, as UK has surged in his recruitment. Kentucky also has good odds with Wiseman, a five-star center and the No. 1 player in the class, who’s essentially down to Kentucky and Memphis.
