Monday Quickies: Kahlil Whitney Edition

Kahlil Whitney has become a big priority for John Calipari.

I think it’s safe to say that John Calipari likes five-star small forward Kahlil Whitney.

Calipari offered Whitney on Friday, and he’s now watched him play twice after watching him last night. The 6-6 wing is quite versatile, an attribute that Calipari has fallen in love with in recent years (for good reason).

And Calipari’s increased interest means good things for UK. It’s not often that he doesn’t get the guys he wants, especially when he turns up the heat. Whitney’s crystal ball now has five predictions, and Kentucky and Illinois are split at the top, each getting 40 percent. That’ll continue to shift in Kentucky’s favor if Calipari continues to invest interest.
