Big Blue Madness has turned into one of John Calipari’s biggest recruiting events at Kentucky, and this year he’ll have five-star forward Jaemyn Brakefield in attendance again.
Brakefield will visit Kentucky for Big Blue Madness for the second year in a row. The Huntington, West Virginia, native is 100 percent predicted to pick Kentucky in his crystal ball, with three predictions logged thus far.
Brakefield is ranked the No. 18 player and the No. 4 power forward in the class of 2020 by 247 Sports. He stands 6-8, 210 pounds.
Brakefield doesn’t yet have a Kentucky offer, despite the fact that he’ll now attend two of these events. John Calipari has extended just two 2020 scholarship offers. Brakefield does have 23 other offers, a list that includes Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, LSU and Mississippi State.
Brakefield is skilled in running the floor in transition, he’s a good finisher above the rim, and he has some post presence. You can check out a short highlight reel from him at the 2017 Chick-Fil-A classic below.
