We have a Doron Lamb accolade! The former Kentucky Wildcat who was immortalized with a 2012 National Championship has been named one of the 60 best basketball players to come out of New York by SLAM Magazine. Lamb is from Queens in New York City, New York. Here’s what SLAM’s Max Resetar had to say about Lamb.

Lower East Side native Doron Lamb started his high school career at Bishop Loughlin in Brooklyn. He put up 22 a game as a sophomore, catching the eye of Oak Hill Academy. He left New York to finish high school, finding his way to Kentucky as a collegian. He won a National Championship in 2012.

The list isn’t in a ranking order, but rather by alphabetical order, so we don’t exactly know where Lamb fits here. And the list only accounts for the best since 1956, but, let’s be honest, there aren’t any players from that long ago that would actually compete with today’s best players from New York.
