The state of Kentucky has produced a number of talented football players in recent years, but the 2019 class appears to be one of the best.
If you are like me, you want the in-state talent that is good enough for the SEC to stay in-state and come to UK. However, that hasn’t been the case for the staff as they have missed out of several top player from the state and lost them to other schools.
Thursday night, the top prospect in the state for the 2019 class four-star Wandale Robinson took to twitter and trimmed his list down to six and good news for Kentucky, they made the list. Also on the list: The Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan Wolverines, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Purdue Boilermakers.

The all-purpose back had a remarkable junior season and in a post on Kentucky Sports Radio, Mrs. Tyler Thompson states that the Frankfort Kentucky back had a total of 3,276 all-purpose yards and scored 43 touchdowns.
Robinson was able to score in different ways throughout the season, being through rushing TDs, receiving TDs, and even kick off and punt return TDs. A true talent that we need to keep in the state of Kentucky.
Robinson has talked about playing for the Cats and he did an interview with Steve Wiltfong in which he said, “It’s the hometown school. It’s that place where they say we just need a guy like you”.
Yes, UK does in fact need a guy like Wandale.
Hopefully, UK’s luck with the in-state players will start to make a change for the better and Mark Stoops and the staff will be able to get Robinson in the Kentucky blue and playing in front of the BBN on Saturdays.
