Up next in UK’s summer preview series is freshman point guard Immanuel Quickley.
A former five-star recruit out of Maryland, Quickley comes to UK hoping to follow the strong lineage of point guards who’ve played under John Calipari.
Whether at UMass, Memphis or UK, Calipari has been one of the game’s best at helping point guards reach their full potential and live out their NBA dreams.
That’s what Quickley is hoping to accomplish while also leading UK to national title No. 9. He also says his favorite player from UK is John Wall, who Quickley has some similarities too with his lightning-fast quickness and ability to consistently finish contested shots at the rim.
