Josh Green is one of the most impressive guard/wing-type prospects in the 2019 class, and yet he doesn’t have an offer from Duke, Kentucky or North Carolina.
That could change soon, according to Rivals recruiting expert Corey Evans, who made it clear that Kentucky is jumping in on Green, as are other blue bloods.
“Look for his recruitment to bleed into the winter months and while Kansas, Villanova, USC, Florida and Arizona will have a say, a North Carolina offer could change things,” Evans writes. “It should be noted that Kentucky has begun to express interest, ramping things up to the highest level as Green enters his final month of travel ball play.”
Even though three of the most coveted programs in the country aren’t offering, it’s not stopping others from doing so. Green has 27 offers, including offers from the Kansas Jayhawks, Villanova Wildcats, and SEC foe Texas A&M Aggies.
Green is the No. 9 player in his class and the No. 2 shooting guard in ESPN’s rankings. Currently playing at the IMG Academy, Evans said his recruitment is still open, and he hasn’t given his options a ton of thought. At 6-5, 185 lbs, Green has the size to be a capable and versatile wing player.
Green’s crystal ball is currently split three ways, with UCLA, UNLV and Kansas each getting 1⁄3 of the vote.
