Kentucky freshman Keldon Johnson meets Keldon at UK’s autograph signing in Midway on June 24.

“We’re going to be here a long time,” new Wildcat Keldon Johnson said as he looked at the crowd awaiting autographs in Midway yesterday.

He was right.

Johnson and his teammates were greeted by a line of fans stretched and wound all around the parking lot as their R.J. Corman train stopped at 5:30 p.m. The Cats had so many autographs to sign that they were 45 minutes late to their 7:00 p.m. signing in Lexington.

John Calipari said he came up with the idea to do the R.J. Corman train ride and autograph tour last week, and a ton of UK fans took advantage of the opportunity to meet the team.

Calipari also got the opportunity to talk about his next Kentucky team. You can find that below in the tweets of the day.
