Kentucky Football has added a defensive back from Georgia.

Jay Ward, a 3-star cornerback from Moultrie, Georgia, just announced his commitment to the Wildcats football program on his Twitter account.

”First of all, I would like to give glory to God for blessing me with the opportunity and abilities to play the game of football. I would also like to thank my parents, Coach Polite and my teammates for all the support. I would also like to thank the schools who believed in me. After much consideration, I’ll be furthering my education at the University of Kentucky,” he wrote in a Twitter post.

Ward, who stands at 6’1”, visited UK on an unofficial visit today, per Josh Edwards of CatsPause.

He is ranked as the 82nd cornerback in the country. He took an unofficial visit to Lexington Feb. 24 for a junior day as well.

Per Ward’s Twitter account, he recently picked up an offer from Alabama earlier this month.

Welcome to the #BBN, Jay!
