NBA Rookie of the Year Odds released

Knox is 15/1, SGA at 40/1

NBA: NBA Draft Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Now that the NBA Draft is over, Bovada has updated their odds for NBA Rookie of the year in 2018-2019.

Kevin Knox has the seventh-best odds, tied with Michael Porter Jr. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander comes in significantly further down the list at 40-1.

Here is how the list shapes up:

  • DeAndre Ayton, 13/5
  • Luke Doncic, 3/1
  • Marvin Bagley, 9/2
  • Trae Young, 7/1
  • Jaren Jackson Jr., 9/1
  • Mohamed Bamba, 11/1
  • Kevin Knox, 15/1
  • Michael Porter Jr., 15/1
  • Mikal Bridges, 22/1
  • Collin Sexton, 22/1
  • Miles Bridges, 28/1
  • Wendell Carter Jr., 28/1
  • Donte DiVincenzo, 40/1
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, 40/1
  • Zhaire Smith, 45/1
  • Lonnie Walker, 50/1
  • Robert Williams, 50/1

Both Knox and SGA will not be as heavily relied upon next year as Ayton, Bagley, Doncic, and even Trae Young. Those guys will likely be immediate starters, whereas Knox and SGA could certainly play themselves into those roles.

Lonnie Walker figures to have a sizable role with the Spurs, so it is a bit surprising to see him so low. That 50/1 bet will likely be a popular one.
