Jarred Vanderbilt’s injury issues are well-documented at Kentucky, and he appears to still be on the recovery process, as he showed up to his introductory press conference with the Denver Nuggets in a walking boot while riding a scooter.

Vanderbilt skipped the NBA Draft Combine because he was unable to participate, but it wasn’t revealed that he was still in a boot and using a scooter.
He played only 14 games, missing the entire SEC Tournament and Kentucky’s NCAA Tournament games. And he’ll likely miss more time, as the Summer League starts in a couple weeks and it certainly doesn’t look like he’ll be healthy.
Vanderbilt will offer a great value for Denver when he’s healthy. He was probably the best rebounder in this year’s NBA Draft, and they got him in the second round. If he can get his ankle issues resolved and get out on the court, he’ll end up being a steal.
