The Kentucky Wildcats have scored a linebacker pledge in the 2019 class.

On Monday, Tra Wilkins announced his commitment to UK on Twitter:

According to Patrick Loney, Wilkins will enroll early at UK for the 2019 season, so he should be in Lexington next spring.

Wilkins, who hails from Stephenson High School in Georgia, is a highly-regarded linebacker with an offer sheet that includes the Alabama Crimson Tide, Louisville Cardinals, Ole Miss Rebels, Auburn Tigers, Arkansas Razorbacks, Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators, Michigan Wolverines, Michigan State Spartans and Ohio State Buckeyes among many others.

Needless to say, this is a very big pledge for Mark Stoops and his staff. Wilkins is projected as an outside linebacker. He’s ranked 937th overall in 2019 by 247 amd weighs in at 6-2, 210 pounds.

UK now has eight commitments in the 2019 class, including Moses Douglass, KD McDaniel, Nik Scalzo, Jake Pope, Jalen Geiger, Eli Cox and Marquez Bembry.
