NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-Second Round-Buffalo vs Kentucky Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning, Big Blue Nation.

On behalf of the staff here at A Sea of Blue, I want to wish all of the dads out there a very heartfelt Happy Father’s Day.

Being a father is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me. It’s not easy and there are days where I feel as if I might lose my mind, but my children are my life and there isn’t anything that I wouldn’t do for them.

We can see the pride of a father whenever John Calipari interacts with his son, Brad Calipari, on the sidelines during Kentucky Wildcats basketball games. Coaching his son has to be one of the proudest moments of his life.

Tweets of the Day

Tyrese Maxey and USA win gold at FIBA U18 | Cats Pause- Congrats to the future Kentucky point guard and his teammates. They won the FIBA Americas Championship by throttling Canada 113-74. Maxey averaged 11.0 points and 3.0 assists for the tournament.

The five best games on UK’s football schedule | Courier-Journal- It’s a loaded schedule this season and Mark Stoops is going to have his work cut out for him. The usual suspects are on this list but I’m most excited about that trip to College Station.

Ashton Hagans is ready to be next in a long line of great point guards at UK | SEC Country- I’ve watched some footage of Hagans and have read extensively on the kid. I’ve determined that he is indeed the real deal. He has the athleticism and speed to be truly special.

What is Kentucky adding with Hagans? | Cats Pause- One of the standout qualities is his on-ball defense. We all know how much Calipari loves a defensive minded point guard.

Suns could trade number one pick for Kawhi Leonard | CBS- I don’t think this is the trade Leonard had in mind when he demanded to be dealt from the Spurs. While the Suns have young talent, they are light years away from becoming a contender and I don’t think the addition of Leonard changes that.

Phil Mickelson should apologize and withdraw from the US Open | ESPN- I’m not going to sit here behind my laptop and pretend to be a golf rules expert but apparently this piece by Ian O’Connor is a bit of an overreaction to what Phil did yesterday.

San Francisco Brewery trolls LeBron James | Sporting News- Barebottle Brewing Company released a beer called LeBron James’ Tears.

UNC defeats Oregon State in CWS marathon | ESPN- The nine-inning game lasted a whopping 4 hours and 24 minutes as UNC outlasted the Beavers 8-6. It’s a CWS record for a 9-inning game.

Black Holes could actually be colliding wormholes | Live Science- As scientists still try to understand the nature of what Black Holes are and how they work, this new theory is the latest attempt to decipher the mysteries.
