The Kentucky Wildcats wrapped up the fall recruiting period with the best class in all of college basketball.
Thanks to a very productive summer and early fall, Kentucky was able to secure national letters of intent from five-star shooting guard Terrence Clarke, five-star forward Isaiah Jackson, five-star shooting guard Brandon Boston, five-star point guard Devin Askew, four-star forward Lance Ware, and four-star forward Cam’Ron Fletcher.
All of this has Kentucky ranked No. 1 in the 2020 recruiting rankings going into the winter, and it could get even better before it’s all said and done.
Among the remaining targets who hold scholarship offers from Kentucky include five-star forward Greg Brown and four-star center Cliff Omoruyi, both of whom are expected to decide in the spring.
Other 2021 recruits who may ultimately reclassify include five-star forward Jonathan Kuminga and five-star forward Paolo Banchero. Banchero is expected to remain in 2021, but Kuminga is widely expected to be a 2020 recruit when it’s all said and done.
And there may be a new name emerge before it’s all said and done, just as was the case with Johnny Juzang in 2019 and both EJ Montgomery and Ashton Hagans in 2018.
One 2020 recruit Kentucky is still showing interest in is four-star forward JT Thor, who doesn’t hold an offer but does want to visit at some point.
In addition, Kentucky will likely evaluate the grad transfer market this spring, though it’s too early to tell who could emerge as targets for Kentucky in this regard.
