Kentucky Wildcats safety Marcus Walker has been dismissed from the program following his arrest on three drug charges.
This comes as no surprise after Walker was arrested last week and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking marijuana (more than 5 lbs, first offense) and trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine, >/= 4 grams, first offense).
Walker came to UK as a highly-touted recruit out of Lake Wales, Florida. ESPN gave him a four-star rating and ranked him 214th overall in the Class of 2015. 247 Sports Composite, which measures all of the recruiting rankings, gave Walker a three-star rating and ranked him 400th nationally.
In his redshirt freshman season in 2016, Walker played in nine games and recorded 12 tackles, seven of which coming against Austin Peay.
Walker had a chance to get more action in 2017 as he played in 12 of UK’s 13 games. He recorded five tackles on the year.
