Kentucky Basketball: Which guys in the NBA Draft will return?

It is coming down to the wire. Who stays and who goes?

AP/James Crisp

The deadline to withdraw your name from the NBA Draft and retain college basketball eligibility is May 30th at 11:59 p.m.

As of right now, there are still three Kentucky Wildcats that have to make a decision about their draft status. What will they decide and when we will they make the announcement?

Wenyen Gabriel has worked out for five NBA teams, and he would love to add a couple more to that list before May 30th. We do not know what feedback he has gotten thus far, but it would be shocking if anybody would be willing to draft him.

Wenyen could return if he is told that he would be draftable next year based on certain conditions. But if he is told that the NBA is not in his immediate future, I could definitely see him going overseas.

Jarred Vanderbilt has certainly gotten his share of draft buzz, but being unable to participate in the NBA Draft Combine took a lot of air out of those sails. He is a generational rebounding talent, and certainly has a high ceiling on the defensive end, but there are some big questions that are not able to be answered before May 30th.

Can he stay healthy? Can he develop into an adequate offensive player? Those are the only two variables holding him back. If a team is willing to use a top 45 pick on him, I think he goes. But that seems very unlikely given his injury history and limited sample of college experience.

PJ Washington seemed to outperform his standing at the Combine. His measurables were not very impressive, but he stood out during scrimmages and skill drills. He stock likely improved, but was it enough to make it into the first round?

Washington and his family have continually insisted that he will return to Kentucky if he is unlikely to be selected in the first round. But could a guaranteed contract in the early second round change his mind?

It seems as though Washington has his mind made up, according to his Instagram account and the fact that he has announced a decision date (May 30th...of course).

We could hear from Gabriel and Vanderbilt sooner, or it could be a group announcement. Regardless of when they share their decisions, what is your prediction of what these guys plan to do?
