Good morning, Big Blue Nation!

It’s winner take all today when the Kentucky Wildcats take on the Oregon Ducks for the right to go on to the College World Series.

The Cats won the first game out in Eugene as they defeated the overall number one seed. But the Ducks roared back last night and won 6-1 with a complete game from Miranda Elish.

The game is tonight at 9:00 PM EST on ESPN2. So take a nap or drink a lot of coffee.

Tweets of the Day

Game 7 LeBron James is the best LeBron James.

Quickies

Isaiah Briscoe wins Estonian league championship | Cats Pause- Briscoe led BC Kalev with 20 points to help win the club’s third straight championship game. Briscoe would have been a junior at Kentucky last season but opted to play basketball overseas. He seems to be doing quite well.

Audible to skp Belmont | ESPN- The third place horse in the Kentucky Derby will not run in the final leg of the Triple Crown. This should make Justify’s work a little easier.

LeBron’s legend grows as he forces Game 8 | CBS- The Boston Celtics cut the Cleveland Cavalier lead to seven late in the fourth quarter. But then LeBron James answered with two straight threes and then an and-one to put the game out of reach for the C’s.

He’s the best I’ve ever seen. There, I said it. Let me have it in the comments but you won’t convince me otherwise.

Louisville’s Jeff Walz suspended by NCAA | Courier-Journal- The women’s basketball coach will be suspended one game by the NCAA for inappropriate language directed toward officials during the Cardinal’s Final Four loss to Mississippi State. I don’t know what he said but it must have been pretty bad because coaches curse at refs all of the time.

And then there’s this gem....

WORST OFFICIATED CONTEST IN THE HISTORY OF SPORTS

Will Anthony Davis sign the richest deal in NBA history? | Cats Pause- With being named All NBA First Team, Anthony Davis has put himself in position to sign a supermax deal with the Pelicans. And he will be worth every penny of the potential $230 million deal.

Lakers to work out Liangelo Ball | ESPN- This has to be a good will gesture for Lonzo Ball because Liangelo isn’t even a G-League player. Lavar decided to put his son’s careers on the line as they played professionally in Lithuania. That ended in disaster and now neither Ball boy can play college basketball. Ever. So much for Lavar Ball being the basketball innovator.

SGA and Kevin Knox both lottery pick in latest mock draft | Sporting News- In the latest mock draft from Sporting News, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander moves past Kevin Knox in the lottery. SGA rises to the eighth player picked heading to the Cavaliers (Yes!) while Knox is on the edge at fourteen headed to join Jamal Murray in Denver.

Kevin Love to have head injury evaluated | ESPN- Love left the game after a head-to-head collision with the Celtics’ Jayson Tatum. Love will have to rest before he is evaluated. The Cavs need him for game 7 in Boston. But I wouldn’t count LeBron out either way.

Solo opens to below forecasted numbers | Variety- This movie went through multiple directors and rewrites. The Last Jedi stunk. Harrison Ford will always be Han Solo to me. Yeah, I’m staying away too.
