Kentucky Football: Marcus Walker arrested on drug charges

The rising junior safety was arrested on multiple drug charges Thursday morning.

Kentucky safety Marcus Walker has been arrested on three drug charges by Lexington Metro Police Department.

According to the report, Walker was arrested and charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking marijuana (more than 5 lbs, first offense) and trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine, >/= 4 grams, first offense).

Walker had a chance to get more action in 2017, as his redshirt sophomore season saw him play in 12 of UK’s 13 games. He recorded five tackles on the year. His season high was two, which he recorded against the Vanderbilt Commodores last year.

In his redshirt freshman season, Walker played in nine games and recorded 12 tackles, with his career high of seven coming against Austin Peay.

Walker was a three-star recruit out of Lake Wales, Florida. If nothing else, his role is likely to change following this arrest, as he was expected to get even more playing time than last year in his junior season.

We will update this post if any more details come out.
