Quickies: Mystery Opponents Edition

Calipari hints at big non-conference opponents for next year.

NCAA Basketball: Mississippi at Kentucky Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

John Calipari appears to be scheming up an improved non-conference schedule for next season.

I, for one, am going to overreact to this like crazy. Is Kentucky going to revisit the series against the Indiana Hoosiers? Will the Wildcats take on another ACC team? What about another Big 12 team?

I’d hope that it’s against a prominent program, at least, but this will do favors for the Wildcats when it comes to national attention (which apparently you can get more of, I guess).

We’ll see what Calipari has up his sleeve soon enough.

Tweet of the day

Bam Adebayo certainly grabbed some attention in year one, and had no shortage of highlight reel plays.
