Diallo speaks as someone who has already been through this before.

Hamidou Diallo is going through the draft process for the second time, though this time he’s definitely staying in the NBA Draft.

However, this time last year the Kentucky guard was going through this process without having played a single college game, and he had to make the tough decision between staying at Kentucky and entering the draft.

As someone that’s been through it before, he offered some advice to PJ Washington and Jarred Vanderbilt, UK’s two most uncertain potential returning players.

“For PJ and Jarred ... just make the right decision for you and your family,” Diallo said in a video taken by Lee Howard on Twitter. “Nobody can tell you what’s right, you’re going to be the one that’s going to live it. So if you feel like it’s right for you to leave then so be it, if you feel like it’s right for you to go back to school then go back to school. But don’t let anyone dictate that decision for you, just have you and your family sit down and make the right decision.”

Diallo’s decision last year was to return to Kentucky, although the NBA certainly showed interest in him. The same is the case for Washington and Vanderbilt.

Despite not playing much this year, Vanderbilt’s rebounding ability leaped off the page when he was healthy, and NBA executives have taken notice.

As for Washington, he played well in his combine putting up 14 points and 13 rebounds.
