There are a few college coaches in every sport who hit the ground running when the season ends. College football has Kirby Smart and Nick Saban (who was recruiting from the White House during the Alabama Crimson Tide’s trip there). College basketball has Mike Krzyzewski, Roy Williams, and, you guessed it, John Calipari.
Calipari is all over the recruiting trail right now. He’s looking hard at 2019 recruits, and is looking to land some potential reclass guys (like Ashton Hagans). He’s visiting 2019 five-star forward Vernon Carey Jr. on Monday. He’ll be making a few visits this weekend, as he takes aim at five-star duo Bryan Antoine and Scottie Lewis, as well as five-star guard Tyrese Maxe (a potential 2018 reclassifier).
And he’s also expected to visit five-star big man James Wiseman on Monday.
Be sure to keep track of all of Calipari’s visits and recruiting moves here at A Sea of Blue.
