Kentucky Wildcats football signe Kenneth Horsey underwent successful open-heart surgery and is now recovering, according to his Twitter page.
Blessed to finally be home recovering from my open heart surgery. Thank you to my family, friends, and #BBN for your thoughts and prayers as I will now work to getting my body ready to be back on the field ✊ #BBN #68WAVE

Whatever happened that led to Horsey needing heart surgery is unclear, but he tweeted this out on Sunday.
Minor setback for a major comeback ✊ #68WAVE https://t.co/jmWxd2TNSU

Horsey is a three-star offensive tackle from Sanford, Florida (Seminole High School), who stands 6-4 and weighs 326 lbs. He committed to UK prior to the December signing period and then signed on December 20, 2017. He held 11 other offers, including offers from the Mississippi St. Bulldogs and Missouri Tigers.
Horsey is expected to join the UK football team during the summer. An update on his status and some insight into his medical condition may be given at spring practice tomorrow.
While it remains to be seen what, if any Horsey can do on the field this year, all that matters is he’s healthy and recovering after what must have been a scary ordeal.
