Kentucky Wildcats vs Georgia Bulldogs Game Thread

UK tips off its 2018 SEC Tournament.

NCAA Basketball: Georgia at Kentucky Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

The Kentucky Wildcats begin their attempt at an SEC Tournament run today.

The Wildcats take on the Georgia Bulldogs at 3 pm EST today in the quarterfinal round of the conference tourney. However, the game won’t begin until 25 minutes after Alabama and Auburn finish their game, so it could be closer to 3:25 when the Cats tip off.

The Bulldogs and Wildcats last met at the start of conference play this year, when UK defeated Georgia 66-61.

Georgia defeated the Missouri Tigers yesterday, as Michael Porter Jr.’s return wasn’t enough to save Mizzou. The Bulldogs are led by Yante Maten, who’s averaging team highs in points (19.5 per game) and rebounds (8.7 per game). Going back to the regular season, Georgia is 3-2 in its last five.

Meanwhile, UK is coming off a loss to the Florida Gators that snapped a big win streak that seemed to have put the Cats back on track at the time.

The game will be live on ESPN this afternoon. Keep it locked to this story to talk about the game in the comments section.
