Tyler Herro is continuing to put on a scoring clinic in the state of Wisconsin on the path toward a state championship.
The Kentucky signee just had his eighth 40+ point game of the season Friday night, leading his team to victory in a regional semi-final game in which he scored 45 points via four three pointers and a perfect night at the free throw line (12-12).
Herro’s Friday night performance is just another big-time scoring performance in a season where Herro is averaging better than 33 points per game on 52.3 percent shooting, 43.5 percent from beyond the arc, and 86.5 percent from the free throw line. Herro has made 83 three-pointers on the season, averaging just over four per game.
With continued performances like this, Herro may see his recruiting rank rise. He currently sits at 32nd overall in the 247 Sports Composite rankings and has already steadily seen his recruiting rank rise.
Herro’s shooting ability will be a welcome addition to next year’s Kentucky squad, in which he will be joined by point guard Immanuel Quickley (14) and Keldon Johnson (13).
